I'm an active UX speaker and trainer. I enjoy sharing insights on human-centred design - from conference stages to internal workshops - to educate and inspire others. I've delivered talks at international conferences in London and the US, and I coach teams in UX through custom training courses.

Guest lecture & workshop at Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO), exploring human-centred AI design for high-consequence industrial environments.
Conference Talks
"Opening the Door" (Devcon) ↗
Why is bad design so persistent - and what can we do about it? In this story-driven talk, a misaligned door handle in Houston becomes a metaphor for why signifiers and affordances must align. I explore how multidisciplinary teams at Cognite avoid "Norman doors" by embedding rapid ethnography, observing real workflows, and aligning product roadmaps with lived experience.
"Ethics of UX for Good" (City, University of London) ↗
Presented at the Human-Computer Interaction Design Open Day at City, University of London. Not a call to refuse "bad projects," but an exploration of how design can unintentionally cause harm even when intentions are good. I discuss why human-centred design alone doesn't guarantee ethical outcomes, and why we must look beyond user satisfaction to consider privacy, bias, and long-term impact.
"UCD vs Homer Simpson Design" (Nerd Summit) ↗
A light-hearted look at design philosophy, delivered at Nerd Summit (University of Massachusetts) where I shared the stage with UX legend Jared Spool. Homer's monstrosity of a car illustrates what happens when you ask users to design solutions rather than understanding their needs. I encourage teams to avoid "cargo-cult" UX and commit to the full human-centred process.
